2. Data Collection & Local Storage
We prioritize data minimization. To provide our services, we only collect necessary subscription and transaction data managed by Apple through the App Store.
What We DO NOT Collect:
We do not collect or store your medication records, schedules, photos, or personal health notes. This sensitive information is stored exclusively on your local device and is never transmitted to, or stored on, Firebase, Google Cloud, or any external servers. Because this data remains entirely under your local control, MyMeds: Pill Reminder cannot access or view your specific medication routines.
3. Third-Party Services & Advertising
To maintain application functionality and provide Pro features, MyMeds: Pill Reminder utilizes the following trusted third-party services:
Gemini AI Engine
Used to generate personalized medication insights. We share only the name of the medication you enter. No personally identifiable information (PII) or health notes are transmitted to the AI engine.
RevenueCat
Used for secure subscription management and receipt validation via the Apple App Store.
Google AdMob (Personalized Ads)
We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. Google may use device identifiers (such as the IDFA on iOS) to show personalized ads based on your interests and previous app usage.
Crucially: Your medication records, schedules, photos, and personal health notes are never shared with Google Ads or any advertising partners. Your health data remains strictly decoupled from all advertising systems.
4. Data Security
MyMeds: Pill Reminder does not maintain external servers for your health data. All your data, including medication records, schedules, and photos are stored within your device provided by the operating system.
5. User Rights & Choices
You retain full control over your data. You may view, edit, or delete your medication records at any time within the app settings.
Advertising Choices: Because MyMeds: Pill Reminder respects your privacy, we adhere to Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can manage your personalized advertising preferences at any time through your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking). If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," Google AdMob will only serve non-personalized ads that are not based on your interests.
Warning on App Deletion: As your health information is never backed up on our servers, all data will be permanently lost if the application is removed from your device. MyMeds: Pill Reminder is unable to recover or restore your data once the app is uninstalled.
